Books for Boys

I love reading.  Its been a passion of mine since I was a little child.  My mom told me when I was small the libraray was my favorite place to go.  I use to know the librarians at my local library on a first name basis and they knew how much I loved checking out new books that they would often let me climb into the back area where returned books were kept to look through the piles.  My favorite childhood book was about an alligator that didnt like to brush his teeth and was almost turned into an alligator purse.  I have no idea how to find this book anymore despite numerous google searches.  So needless to say the one thing I want to pass down to Drake above all is a lifetime love of literature.  I have already stocked his bookshelf full of books and am always hunting for new fun books I think he will enjoy.  Well Ive noticed there are a lot of books out there about princesses and fairies so I wondered what there was for little boys.  I have a feeling this will be an ongoing post as I discover other books but here is what I have found so far

Going along with my love of nautical things is this cute little book about a boat made out of a cork, a can, a yellow pencil, and some white cloth.  Wonder what adventures these two will have together

The Little Matador comes from a long line of prize winning matadors but all he wants to do is draw pictures.  What will his father say when he discovers his son doesn't want to follow in his footsteps?

Tollins aren't fairies so don't confuse the two!  Full of mischief and cunning these little guys create quite a bang when they accidentally set ofsome rockets in the fireworks factory.  Brought to you by the writer of the famous

The Dangerous Book for Boys

these adventures will surely delight and inspire your little boy to great mischief!

Lastly

I actually own this book and I have to say its a great story. Instead of a little boy discovering a lost animal a dragon discovers a lost Benjamin!  He takes him to his home and school and learns all about the ways of the Benjamin. The illustrations are lovely and on each page their are small notes labeling things like the dragon's favorite volcano and his teacher Mr Crookface.  Its an adorable twist about a boy and a dragon.

I am always on the lookout for new boy products so if you have any feel free to contact me at ohboydrake@gmail.com
